Description

Sleeping bear sand dunes has a legend that a mother bear and her cubs were crossing a lake and the cubs were lost but the mother kept watching day and night with eyes open waiting for any sign of her cubs. A blizzard covers her and she eventually turns into the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes in Michigan. The original was a commission and the lady showed me a book about this legend and this is my version of the illustration. Certainly this story illustrates that love does indeed, bear all things.
